Well, you know I may be a little late to the game, but I just bought the Soft Glam eye palette from Anastasia two days ago. I was almost set on finally buying the Modern Renaissance palette, but then I saw the Soft Glam and knew instantly that this was more up my alley for personal use. After using it once this morning, I can honestly say that I have not been this pleased with an eye palette in a very long time. It may be called Soft Glam, but you can do Hard Glam, No Glam, or any other look with this palette!
With shades of gorgeous pigments and options for a number of versatile looks, I feel like I can go on vacation this weekend with one eye palette and be completely happy with the decision. You always have those colors that a palette doesn’t have or just doesn’t really work with what you were thinking, and I cannot find one of those colors in this palette. My preference must have changed recently as I remember when this palette first came out, and I didn’t really see it as a must have for myself. Now, I’m like, “What was I thinking?!” Stunning and creamy colors, pigmented shimmer and highlights, and can I just give a call out to Mulberry and Noir?
I’m never happy with black eye shadows. I hate most of them because they just aren’t black enough. The only ones I like are that from Melt Cosmetics and the one in the Shade and Light Eye Contour palette from Kat Von D. But, Noir stepped in and made me a happy lady with its thick pigment that is just so easy to blend out. Then, Mulberry, this gorgeous mulberry mix of brown and red, has taken over as a favorite. This color is perfect for the lid, the crease, liner, brow, whatever you need for your eyes….just not highlighter unless you want to start a new fad.
I cannot wait to try a ton of new looks with this over the weekend on vacation. When I return, I’ll be getting video set up, and I suppose tutorials will be the next thing coming.
